Dear students, the book “The Social Construction of Reality: A Treatise in the Sociology of Knowledge” was published in 1966, written by Peter Ludwing Berger (1929-2017) and Thomas Luckmann (1927-2016) is about the Sociology of Knowledge.

The main thrust of this book is how knowledge is developing, getting shaped, and how we are practicing it in our everyday day life. However, to understand the core idea of the book and argument you must know what is social action and what is reality.

Before going to these videos and other lectures, please remember my introductory lection in the class.

Please watch first three videos and listen the writer of the book very carefully.
